CANTON – All new lessons in the studies of traditional karate and personal safety are now beginning with three weeks of introductory classes. The programs are being offered in the Riley Community Room at the Canton Village Recreation Pavilion on Thursday evenings, 6 to 7 p.m.
The ongoing regional lessons are available to interested youth (Gr.2-12), college students, and adults of the North Country. Exercises are taught within the disciplined and respectful guidelines of formal karate training. No previous experience in martial arts or self-defense studies is required to join the new session of workouts. Loose fitting exercise clothing and light footwear are recommended.
Interested youth, college, and adult beginners may attend trial classes scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5, Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. The Riley Room is located just above the Canton Pavilion arena.
