GENTLEMEN'S COMPANION NEEDED: I am a 77-year-old businessman/owner of 10 houses in Potsdam and a philosopher by avocation. I am finishing a book on how people can live happily by adopting and prioritizing a short table of virtues. About 7 months ago I had a stroke and was hospitalized for 6 months. I am now fully recovered but have a deficit in my left visual field. This does not affect my ordinary life but was informed by an ophthalmologist in New York state that I am no longer able to drive. My license has been suspended and will not be restored. This can only be rectified by me living with someone with a New York State license to drive me around. I am also in need of a permanent companion, as I am living alone. My last wife was a pediatrician and the one before that was an English professor. I am hoping for an intelligent, hopefully intellectual person and in need of kindness, love and possibly material support.
