Elaine M. McGregor, 78, Norfolk

NORFOLK -- A Celebration of Life gathering for Elaine M. McGregor, 78, a resident of the Marsh Road, Norfolk, will be held at a later date to be announced.

Burial will be held in the Bixby Cemetery, Norfolk.

Ms. McGregor passed away Sunday evening, March 10, 2024, at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital with her family at her side.

Elaine is survived by her grandson, Dylan McGregor and his fiancé, Samantha Meacham, Norfolk and two step-great-grandchildren, Lili and Hailie as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Elaine was pre-deceased by a son, David McGregor and three brothers, Paul, Virginal and Carlton McGregor.

Born in Potsdam, NY on March 18, 1945, to the late Bernard and Margaritte Geandrew McGregor, Elaine was owner operator of several restaurants in the area throughout the years, most recently the proprietor of the Surf-N-Turf in Brasher Falls.

In her spare time, Elaine was a proud and independent woman whom enjoyed being outdoors, woodworking and building things.

She also loved her beloved dog Toby.
