To the Editor:
The Canton Neighborhood Center, a program of the St. Lawrence County Community Development Program, Inc., wishes to thank the following programs, people and agencies who contributed to the success of a Spaghetti Dinner held in support of the Canton Neighborhood Center.
First and foremost, we want to thank Cheryl Williams, a community member who organized, sought contributions, and helped prepare the dinner. Her leadership and guidance led to the overall success of the dinner. We want to recognize and thank the Canton VFW Post 1231 for their generous contribution of the use of their facility to hold the dinner. We wish to thank Cory Foster, our cook for the evening, who prepared a fabulous menu for all to enjoy. Lynne Newvine generously donated her time in helping to set up and run the raffles; Laurie Crawford and her son Jake , who donated their time in doing dishes and kitchen clean up.
For their contribution of an item for our silent auction, we wish to thank Ace Hardware, the Airport Diner, Ann Thomas, Darcy Dubuque, Pizza Hut, Sholettes, Save A Lot, and Walmart. For items used in the preparation of the food, tableware, gloves, we wish to thank Burger King, Karen and Rob Murray, and St. Lawrence University.
We received generous donations from Jen Thomas and the Masonic Temple; we are very appreciative. We also wish to thank staff from CDP who donated their time to help with serving the dinner and the overall preparation and cleanup.
Lastly, we wish to thank the community members who came to the dinner and supported the Canton Neighborhood Center and its mission. Everyone who purchased a meal contributed to the overall success of the event. Thank you.
If we have forgotten anyone, please know it was not intentional. We thank you all for all you did and continue to do in support of the Canton Neighborhood Center.
