To the Editor:
Mr. (David) Acker came to Canton Potsdam Hospital at a critical juncture in the life of that institution, and of medical care in all of St. Lawrence County. Educated in law, and experienced in hospital administration, he set out immediately to “right the ship”.
With his penetrating analysis of “industry” trends, he brought about a viable union of Massena and Gouverneur hospitals with CPH, broadened speciality care for the region, installed the Hospitalist model of inpatient medical care, and solidified the future of care delivery in the area through an alliance with Rochester General.
Thank you, Mr. Acker. And thank you, Linda.
And enjoy that 2000 mile drive!
Dr. Robert Nordberg
