POTSDAM -- Wheel thrown pottery classes led by Isaac Snell will begin Aug. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 41 Elm St. Classes will also beheld Sept. 1 and 2 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The fee for all three classes is $111 for members and $133 for non-members.
Ages 14 and up are welcome.
Snell will guide students through basic skills needed for wheel throwing including clay preparation, proper wedging techniques, centering clay on the wheel, throwing outer and inner walls of a vessel, trimming and glazing.
Students will take home at least six finished pieces.
Students should be beginners or intermediate students with fewer than 20 hours of experience.
