To the Editor:
I would like to thank and congratulate the following volunteer fire departments, Russell, Hermon, Canton, and particularly Pyrites.
Last month my elderly parents had a house fire in the town of Russell and the Pyrites FD was the first on scene.
Thanks to Firefighter Royce Lottie for his quick thinking and his put it out attitude, my parent’s house was saved with minimum amount of damage. It could have went the other way quickly, as it was an attic fire.
Thanks again Royce Lottie. Who not only put out the fire but came back afterwards with this truck and trailer and helped us move freezers full of meat so it wouldn’t spoil. If there were more Royce Lotties in the world, we would all have better communities to live in.
