NICHOLVILLE – A report of an unresponsive female resulted in drug charges for a North Lawrence woman Monday morning, according to state police.
Troopers said they charged 48-year old Jennifer Crump with first-degree operating a motor vehicle while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal substance in non-original container, police said.
Police received a report Dec. 18 shortly before 6:30 a.m. of a female not responding in a vehicle on Bridge Street.
Troopers located Crump in a blue 2020 Buick Enclave and as she was exiting the vehicle, a smoking device fell out and drug paraphernalia was inside the vehicle, officers said..
Officers administered field sobriety , which Crump allegedly failed. She was arrested and transported to SP Canton for a DRE evaluation.
Crump was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Lawrence Court for a later date in January.
