Jesse E. Pearce, 35, Brasher, was charged with driving the wrong way on a one-way street and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Nov. 24 at 1:20 a.m. on Union St.

The charges are returnable in Potsdam Town Court on Dec. 6.

Traffic tickets were issued after patrol observed Pearce driving the wrong direction on a one-way street. Upon a traffic stop a OMV check revealed that Pearce's license was suspended. It was also determined that the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office had two warrants for Pearce. Pearce was turned over to the sheriff's department on the warrants.

Charles A. Rutley, 59, Potsdam, was charged with unlicensed operation on Nov. 24 on Elm Street after patrol observed him operating a vehicle without plate lamps and he was found to have a suspended license.

The ticket is returnable in Potsdam Town Court on Dec. 13.

William J. Marshall, 40, Potsdam, was charged with third-degree unlicensed operation on Nov. 24 on Market Street after patrol observed a vehicle traveling on May Road with parties inside the vehicle appearing to be engaged in a fight. After making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, it was determined that the operator of the vehicle had a suspended NYS driver's license.

The charge is returnable in Potsdam Town Court on Dec. 6.

John R. Nesbitt, 39, Colton, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and failure to keep right on Nov. 25 on Pine Street. Patrols responded to a car versus tree motor vehicle accident and during the investigation it was determined the operator, Nesbitt, was driving under the influence of drugs.

The charges are returnable in Potsdam Town Court on Dec. 13.

Keith J. Gonyou III, 32, Potsdam, was charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of property damage accident on Nov, 26 at midnight on Main St.

Patrols responded to a report of an auto-crash detection alert with airbag deployment. During the investigation Gonyou was located near the scene and determined to be the driver of the vehicle and in an intoxicated state. At the station Gonyou refused to provide a breath sample.

Gonyou was arraigned before Judge Grubee, Town of Norfolk and released to answer charges in Town of Potsdam Court on Dec. 6.

Joshua D. Lechner, 38, Parishville, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator on Nov. 26 on Maple St.

Lechner was observed operating a motor vehicle on Maple Street while having a suspended driver license. The ticket is returnable in Potsdam Town Court on Dec. 6.
