POTSDAM — One person was taken to a hospital Wednesday after a two-vehicle crash, according to an online statement from the Potsdam Fire Department.
Firefighters, Potsdam Rescue and a department command vehicle, Car 10, were dispatched at 11:09 a.m. Oct. 14 to the crash, which was reported with one possible injury and deployed air bags, Lieutenant Sam Allen said.
Potsdam Rescue was on another call, so Canton Rescue was asked to send two ambulances, Allen said.
Firefighters directed traffic and helped rescue crews care for patients, he said. Two people were evaluated, and one was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
One vehicle was driven from the scene, and the other was towed, Allen said.
The fire department was back in service at 11:58 a.m.
Responding units included Engine 49 (B. McCluskey) and units 36-3 and 36-4. Canton Rescue and Potsdam police provided mutual aid, Allen said.
