NORTH LAWRENCE – A North Lawrence woman was arrested for refusing to comply with directives from state police who were acting on an active warrant.

On Sept. 25, the New York State Police arrested Regan L. Todd, 45, for Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree.

At approximately 1:43 p.m., state police responded to a residence on U.S. Route 11 in the town of Lawrence for a report of a female at the residence who had an active warrant.

Upon arrival, troopers located Todd inside the residence and gave her verbal commands to exit the room. Todd refused to comply. Troopers entered the room and continued giving commands, but Todd resisted. She was subsequently taken into custody and placed in restraints.

While being escorted from the residence, Todd damaged a neon light that did not belong to her.

Todd was transported to SP Massena for processing and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Lawrence Court at a later date in October. She was subsequently turned over to the Massena Police Department in connection with the active warrant.
