LOUISVILLE – Michael A. Tessier, 70, tragically passed away Thursday evening, October 29, 2026.
Mike was born September 2, 1956 in Massena, the son of the late Fernand and Nellie (Dumas) Tessier. He was a graduate of Massena High School. Following his graduation, he entered the US Army, serving his country for four years.
Mike worked for the Massena Parks and Recreation Department for several years until his retirement. He was a member of the Massena Senior Citizens, Massena Neighborhood Center, and the Massena Rod and Gun Club. He truly enjoyed woodworking, collecting “old” stuff, tinkering, fishing, and was proud of his boat building skills.
Mike is survived by his wife, Elaine (Duffy); his son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Jenna Tessier of Norfolk; his grandson, Oliver; his sisters, Mary Britt of Virginia, Laura (Ken) Simonelli of New Jersey, Louise (Wally) Singleton of Massena; and Anne Tessier of Massena; his brother, Brian Tessier, address unknown; and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, however there will be no services.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Massena First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
