Early voting in St. Lawrence County begins Saturday, Oct. 24, with voters in Potsdam casting ballots at a new location: the Potsdam Central School Annex at 68 Lawrence Ave.

Early voting will be available through Nov. 1 at the Potsdam Annex and the Dobisky Center, 100 Riverside Ave., in Ogdensburg.

The St. Lawrence County Board of Elections moved early voting to the Annex property ahead of the June primary election.

Voting hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 24, 25, 27, 29, 30 and 31, and Nov. 1. Extended hours, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., are scheduled for Oct. 26 and 28. Both locations are accessible to voters with physical disabilities.

Voters who cast a ballot during early voting cannot vote again on Election Day. Those who requested an absentee or early mail ballot also cannot vote on a voting machine on Election Day.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Voters can find their polling place through the state’s online voter lookup tool.

A range of federal, state and local races will appear on the ballot, including the 21st Congressional District, New York governor and lieutenant governor, state comptroller, the 48th and 49th state Senate districts, and the 116th and 117th Assembly districts.

At the county level, all 15 legislative seats and the county coroner position are up for election. Dozens of town and village positions are also contested, including mayoral, village trustee, town board and highway offices.
