GOUVERNEUR - Dean Raymond Jenne, 67, of Gouverneur NY, passed away on October 1, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, and the people that meant the most to him.
Dean was born on November 24, 1958, in Gouverneur, NY, the youngest son of the late Raymond and Martha (Nelson) Jenne. He grew up on the Jenne farm on Beartown Road in Antwerp, NY. Dean graduated from Indian River Central School in 1977 and went on to build a career through hard work and dedication. Throughout the years, Dean worked for the Village of Theresa, Marion Construction, Hershey Creamery as a Regional Manager, and PepsiCo in Watertown.
On Sept 21, 1985, Dean married the love of his life, Kelly Story, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Gouverneur, NY. Together, they shared 41 years of marriage, creating a family and a lifetime of memories that will continue to live on.
Dean will be remembered for his sense of humor, his quick wit, and his ability to make people laugh. He never missed an opportunity to joke with others- especially when it comes to football. For those that knew Dean knew he was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed eating Reese’s peanut butter cups and drinking Mountain Dew.
Dean had a love for animals including his cat Pumpkin who passed away in 2025. He had a very special bond with his granddaughter, Ava, as well.
Dean is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Kelly, their children Alisa from Gouverneur, Christopher from Torrence California, and Gregory from Massena NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ava, Monroe, and Hudson. His two brothers Earl (Carol) Jenne and Bruce (Susan) Jenne; sister-in-law Sue (Randy) Morrison, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Martha Jenne, his cousins Ilene Jenne Burke and Paul Peacock with whom he had a close bond.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday October 12, 2026 from 1-4PM at the Gouverneur Elks Lodge. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, 33 Park Street, Gouverneur.
