COLTON — A Colton man is accused of head-butting a person during an alleged domestic dispute Sept. 25, according to state police.
Jeffrey D. Hamilton, 30, was charged with third-degree assault and aggravated family offense, officers said.
Troopers responded around 9 p.m. to Number 9 Road to investigate a reported domestic incident, police said.
Hamilton was reportedly involved in an argument with a family member when an uninvolved person attempted to intervene, police said. Hamilton allegedly head butted the victim in the face, causing them to fall backward and hit their head on the ground.
The victim was evaluated for injury on scene by emergency medical staff, but signed off on treatment for injury at a local hospital, police said.
Hamilton fled the scene but was charged a short time later, officers said.
