RIT scored 50 second-half points en route to a 73-60 victory over St. Lawrence University in Friday night's Liberty League game in Rochester, NY. RIT improved to 9-15 overall and 7-8 in the league while the Saints fell to 9-15 and 5-10 in the conference.
The Saints led 30-23 at the half, and then extended their lead to 10 points in the second half. RIT, however, went on a 19-0 run, taking its largest lead of the game at 15 points with 8:52 left to play and holding the Saints off for the 73-60 victory.
St. Lawrence was led by senior captain Kyle Miller who scored 14 points. Junior Janpeter Brase tallied 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds while first-year student Marty Lewis scored 11. The Saints shot 40.4 percent from the floor on 23-of-57 shooting.
The Saints will battle Hobart in their season finale in Geneva, NY on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
