MASSENA - Beulah L. Trippany, 96, a lifelong resident of Massena, peacefully passed away Wednesday evening, September 30, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Home in Ogdensburg.
Beulah was born February 2, 1930 in Hopkinton, the daughter of the late Clarence and Eva (Russell) Wilkins. She attended rural schools in Fort Jackson before graduating on June 28, 1948 from North Lawrence High School. On August 6, 1949, she married Lawrence F. Trippany at Holy Cross Church in Hopkinton. They enjoyed a marriage of over 73 years before his death on September 7, 2022.
Prior to her marriage, Beulah worked at Baker’s Appliance Store. After her marriage she devoted her life as a dedicated wife and mother to their four children. In 1972, she started selling AVON, continuing for the next 10 years. She had a great love for crafting – especially cross-stitching and needlework. She also enjoyed flower gardening and maintaining a meticulous house. Beulah will fondly be remembered as a social butterfly and having a wonderful “gift to gab.”
Beulah is survived by her children, Kevin (Kimberly) Trippany of Massena, Michael (Jeannine) Trippany of Highgate, Vermont and Sheila (Steve) Flynn of Massena; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Trippany of Massena; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Nancy Wilkins of Brasher Falls.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Gary Trippany on July 19, 2024; her sisters, Margaret Reynolds and Joyce Linter; and her brother, Wayne Wilkins.
