Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead holds a copy of her picture book 'Bucket Filling Fairy.'

Author Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead will visit Lawrence Avenue Elementary and Banford Elementary on Dec. 10 and 11 as part of her “Bucket-Filling Fairy” book tour.

Gardinier Halstead taught in the Performance and Communication Arts Department at St. Lawrence University from 2004-2015. She now resides in Virginia and teaches at Virginia Commonwealth University and Drama Kids International.

Her play “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?” is an adaptation of Carol McCloud’s book of the same title. Her picture book “Bucket Filling Fairy” is based on the play.

The author will spend time at the local schools doing classroom visits, readings, book signings, and multi-media presentations on the making of the book.

On Saturday, Dec. 12, at noon she will hold book signing at the St. Lawrence University Bookstore on Park Street in Canton.
