Showers and possible thunderstorms are forecast for St. Lawrence County today, with small hail and heavy rain possible at times, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

High temperatures today will be around 55 with rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch in most areas, the service says. Overnight the low will be around 43.

The rain could lead to ponding in poor drainage areas and minor field flooding.

Mostly cloudy skies and a high near 61 is the forecast for Wednesday in the North Country, the service says.
