Madrid Canoe Regatta

MADRID — Madrid Canoe Regatta, a series of races held on the Grasse River at Madrid Municipal Park, 1835 NY-345, will be June 10 and 11. Three-mile recreational races, and amateur races of nine and 13 miles offered. Pro races include one-mile sprint race and 9- and 16-mile marathons. Pride Festival

Murder mystery meeting

CANTON — Grasse River Players (GRP), Canton’s community theater group, invites everyone to experience community theater and be entertained with a short, live “murder mystery” drama on Saturday, June 10 at 4:30 p.m. in the Canton Free Library. Flag Day

GOUVERNEUR – Gouverneur Chamber of Commerce will sponsor Flag Day events and a parade on June 10 starting at 10 a.m downtown. This year the chamber is joining forces with the Gouverneur Library’s Arts in the Park event. Rescue Me Golf Tourney

MASSENA — 2nd Annual Rescue Me Golf Tournament, sponsored by North Country Wellness Resource, is Saturday, June 17, at 9 a.m. at Cedar View Golf, Route 37C in Massena. Cost for the 18-hole tournament is $320 ($80 per person), or $280 ($70 per person for Cedar View members) and includes tournament fees, greens fees, cart fees and a registration gift. Children’s Museum gala

Remington Festival

OGDENSBURG — The Remington Festival is back for a third year with dozens of vendors and crafters with goods to sell at the Frederic Remington Art Museum on Saturday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5. There will be unique goods, handmade gifts, and tastings from local wineries. Most of the offerings are locally and regionally produced and sold by local artisans and vendors.

Biking for Books

Atsiaktonkie David

DEKALB JUNCTION — Singer, song writer, Atsiaktonkie David of December Wind will perform Native American songs that carry the message of peace and healing to the audience at the Meetinghouse Museum, 696 East Dekalb Road, on June 17 from 7-8:30 p.m. The concert, part of the DeKalb Historical Association’s annual music series, is free and open to everyone.

LISBON – The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary’s boating safety course is Saturday, June 17, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Lisbon Beach pavilion. This course meets the state mandate for personal water craft and motor boat operators born after Jan. 1, 1983.
