WADDINGTON — The 2nd Annual Youth Ice Fishing Tournament will be hosted by Off the Grid Rentals & Guide Service (NYS DEC Licensed Guide# 4098) on Fobare’s Pond on Coles Creek Road in Waddington on Sunday, Jan. 16, from 7:30-11:30 a.m. Check in is at 7 a.m.
Youth up to age 19 are eligible to compete.
The tournament is being held to raise money for the Fire Departments of Waddington and Norwood.
All participants must be accompanied by an adult.
Masks and social distancing will be required at the registration/check-in table.
The catch-and-release event will give out prizes every hour for the largest fish caught during that time. There will also be prizes for the overall winners based on fish size.
Participants will be responsible for bringing
their own equipment and bait.
Don’t forget your tape measure, as participants will be required to photograph their fish against the ruler along with a participant number badge (issued at check-in).
In order to allow for social distancing, please limit group sizes to no more than 6 and wear masks outside of your fishing area.
Registrations will be accepted up to 24 hours before the event online and participants can also sign up the day of the event at the registration table. Prepaid registration will be $15 and registration fees paid the day of the event will be $20. By submitting your payment, you are agreeing to all rules and release of liability.
