CANTON -- Anu Rangarajan will present a workshop, “Optimizing an intensive vegetable production systems using drip irrigation, mulch films and covers”, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Cornell Cooperative Extension Learning Farm.
The workshop is free and open local growers.
Places are limited and registration is required.
Drop-ins may be turned away.
The workshop will focus on irrigation systems and the use of pest-excluding mulching covers, including care, use and adjustment of mulch plastic-laying equipment.
The workshop will include in-field demonstrations of the plastic mulch layer that will be available for local growers to use.
Rangarajan is Director of the Cornell Small Farms Program at Cornell University.
