MADRID -- Work on Madrid's Mills Dam, spanning the Grasse River, continues with help from a $60,000 grant from the St. Lawrence River Valley Redevelopment Agency Grant.
A coffer dam has been set up on the south side of the dam to enable work to be done on the bulkheads pictured.
The intentional reductions in water level by the town of Madrid allow the workers to access areas of the dam that would be otherwise unavailable. Photo submitted by Philip Paige of Madrid.
