Very cold temperatures and gusty winds will make their way through the St. Lawrence Valley today through Monday before a warm front brings more seasonal temps by mid-week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Today will be partly sunny with highs around 15 and wind chill values as low as -7. Winds will be around 15 mph with gusts as high as 26 mph, the service says.
There is a slight change of snow overnight with a low of -1 and a wind chill factor of -11, NWS says.
The forecast for Monday is mostly sunny with highs around 17 and wind chill values as low as -15, NWS says.
Things will begin to warm up Tuesday as sunny skies and temps around 31 are forecasted.
Rain and snow showers are possible Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the mid 40s on both days.
Temps are expected to drop into the 30s heading into the weekend, the service said.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 17. Wind chill values as low as -15. West wind 11 to 13 mph.
Monday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 2. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Tuesday
Sunny, with a high near 31. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 16. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph after midnight.
Wednesday
A chance of snow showers before noon, then a chance of rain and snow showers between noon and 1pm, then a chance of rain showers after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Southeast wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 38. Southwest wind around 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Thursday
A 50 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. West wind around 11 mph.
