Widespread rain continues this morning across St. Lawrence County before tapering in the afternoon to light drizzle overnight, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Temperatures may cool enough in portions of the Adirondacks to allow for a very light glaze of ice on elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses with some potential for a few slick spots for the Thursday morning commute, NWS says.

The high temp today will be around 49, with showers mainly before 5 p.m., the service says. Overnight the low will be around 34 with a slight chance of drizzle.

Dry conditions return by Friday with seasonal temperatures over the weekend into next week with a storm system possible by mid to late week.
