MASSENA: Free class to make bittersweet vine and take home; 10 a.m.-12 p.m; take short walk on nature center trails to collect bittersweet vines, then return to make wreaths; bring hand clippers, gloves if you have them; some available for loan; dress for the weather; Nicandri Nature Center,19 Robinson Bay Rd.
Waterfall tour
DEGRASSE: Adirondack Naturalist Peter O'Shea and the St. Lawrence Land Trust lead a family friendly tour of waterfalls on Tooley Pond Road; meet at the ADK Park sign on the western end of the Tooley Pond Rd. at 9 a.m. (about 1.5 miles up the road from Degrasse); tour four waterfalls in about 3 hours; bring water and wear hiking shoes; some trails are challenging for the mobility impaired; no strollers.
