Hemp workshop
MADRID: Workshop on industrial hemp production hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension will be held at Madrid Community Center, 1835 State Highway 345, 1-3:30 p.m.; Kitty O'Neil, field crops and soils specialist from the CCE Regional Ag Team will present the session; attendees will learn about updates on current federal and NYS regulations, production and harvest, supply chain, processing, and products for Industrial Hemp in New York; topics covered: plant biology and characteristics, different types, different varieties, growth requirements, how it's typically planted, managed and harvested, update on NYS hemp regulations, permitting process, and current supply chain for hemp products including products that are currently being produced in New York, as well as potential products; $10 to attend and pre-registration required at https://bit.ly/2sW4bpd; Tatum Langworthy, CCE NC Regional Ag Team @ tlm92@cornell.edu or 315-788-8450.
Drivers safety course
