It will be warm today, with the high temperature near 70 degrees, which would be a record, according to the National Weather Service.

High pressure will remain over the North Country today, but clouds and rain are not far behind.

A cold front will cross the St. Lawrence Valley this evening and overnight, and gusty winds – perhaps as high as 40 mph -- and heavy rain are expected along the front.

High pressure then builds back over the region bringing clear skies and lower temperatures for the remainder of the week.

Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Breezy, with a south wind 20 to 22 mph.

Tonight: Showers, mainly before 3am. Low around 37. Windy, with a southwest wind 21 to 26 mph decreasing to 14 to 19 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday: A slight chance of showers before 8am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 43. West wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 21. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 42. Calm wind becoming northeast around 6 mph in the morning.
