The Potsdam Village dissolution vote has drawn much attention within the Village/Town area. It has presented many challenges to both governing parties to see if a balance can be made for all. During the next year I hope that these two governments realize that there will be another challenge to this puzzle. There will be a study to form a Town of Norwood. Loosing the tax base of Norwood Lake residents along with the many businesses within the 13668 zip code area in this present Town of Potsdam will cripple the vision plan for both Town and Village Boards. We, in the 13668 area, have been threatened, ignored and forgotten during the “Dissolution Debate” during this past year. Now it is time for both Town and Village of Potsdam Governments to figure out how they will survive without this Northern part of the present Town of Potsdam. Vote “Yes” in 2013 for the Township of Norwood.
