MASSENA -- A Town of Massena promotional video shot earlier this year is in the final edit stage, but it’s not certain when it will air.
“They’ve sent me a clip, it’s very sharp,” Town Supervisor Joseph Gray said.
The segment will run on a national broadcast called Communities of Distinction, produced by Florida-based USM Studios. Its episodes include short features on communities around North America and what they have to offer.
Gray said he isn’t sure when they are going to air Massena’s episode, but once its done, the town will own the rights to it and can use it as they wish, plus the B-roll footage.
They are guaranteed to have one episode shown on the Discovery Channel nationwide and 19 broadcasts on regional affiliates with networks such as ABC and Fox.
“The bottom line is even when it’s ready, it won’t be released until it’s aired. They’ve not told me when the show with our clip will be aired,” Gray said.
The town decided in May 2014 to spend $19,800 to get on the show.
