ROME -- Vice President JD Vance will not appear in Ogdensburg on Monday despite initial reports suggesting the VP would be in the North Country to rally support for NY-21 Republican candidate Anthony Constantino.
Initial rumors shared with the paper said Vance would be flying into the Ogdensburg Airport, but conflicting reports claim he'll be landing in Fort Drum.
North County This Week received a number of calls on the matter and reached out to various officials for confirmation but could not verify the validity of the initial claims.
No official responses were provided at the time either.
The Albany Times Union and New York Post had also shared stories that stated he was scheduled to visit the North Country on Monday.
But an official release by the GOP states Vance will in fact be in Rome on Monday.
The midterm rally will take place at 9:15 a.m. at the Skydome Hangar, located at 592 Hangar Road, Suite 200 in Rome.
Doors will open at 7 a.m., with programming beginning at 9:15 a.m.
