OGDENSBURG – The United Helpers will be featured on the Emmy-nominated show “The American Dream” on Saturday, April 20.

Since it first aired in 2018 “The American Dream” airing on The Bloomberg Network has told a national audience the tales of businesses ranging from Fortune 500 companies like Pizza Hut, VistaPrint, and Royal Carribean, to smaller companies you’ve never heard of, proving that every business has a story to tell.

The United Helpers segment, which was filmed in the midst of the organization’s 125th anniversary last year, will air for the first time at 5:30 p.m. that night on The Bloomberg Network. The show may also be streamed on Amazon Prime following its initial airing.

“Our 125th anniversary afforded us the opportunity to do some pretty cool things and really educate the public about United Helpers and our services,” said Assistant Director of Corporate Services Jordan Downing-Duke. “This show will bring the United Helpers story to an audience larger than we’ve ever had before. I hope people are inspired by our unique history. I’m confident that even long-time employees and St. Lawrence County residents will learn something about our company’s history when watching this piece.”

The segment includes interviews with United Helpers CEO Todd Amo, Vice President of Corporate Services Michelle Matthews and United Helpers Management Company Board of Directors Ray Babowicz, as well as several historical images from the United Helpers company archive.

While the piece was filmed in July, the actor’s strike led to production delays as voiceover with show’s narrator Eric Roberts could not be recorded until the strike was concluded.

Roberts is an Academy Award-nominated actor who has worked with the show’s production team since its pilot episode. Throughout his four-decade career, Mr. Roberts has amassed more than 800 film and television credits, including the 1985 film “Runaway Train,” for which he was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Supporting Actor category.

“It’s no secret that United Helpers has a long and storied history, but to be able to present that story to the entire country with someone like Eric Roberts telling our tale on an Emmy-nominated show is simply incredible,” Amo said.

The Bloomberg Network is available for most Spectrum Cable and Direct TV customers. Depending on your package, Dish customers may also receive that channel. Unfortunately, SLIC does not offer access to The Bloomberg Network. The episode may also be streamed on Amazon Prime following its initial airing.
