NORWOOD — Two Norwood men were arrested Thursday on drug charges following a traffic stop on State Highway 56, according to Potsdam police.
Police said they were alerted to suspicious activity by a local business. Following investigation officers initiated a traffic stop on the suspected vehicle on SH 56.
A search of the vehicle reportedly turned up several components used to manufacture methamphetamine, police said. Police said this included pseudoephedrine, lye, batteries, and drain cleaner.
Following questions at the police station, police charged Jordan R. Mayette, 29 and James R. Mayette, 27 with criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine at 2:04 p.m.
Both were cited and released.
