STAR LAKE -- Two people were reportedly hurt in a fire in Star Lake on Wednesday morning.
The trailer with attached garage on Valley Road was “fully involved” when firefighters arrived shortly after the call from residents came in at 10:40 a.m., according to Star Lake Fire Chief Rick Rusaw.
He said the structure was a total loss.
The injured residents, two of four unidentified people at home when the fire broke out, were taken to Clifton-Fine Hospital with unspecified injuries.
Rusaw said the fire was under control in about half an hour, with help from Fine, Newton Falls and Cranberry Lake fire volunteers, but overhaul procedures, “getting all the hot spots” to be sure the fire was completely out, continued after that, Chief Rusaw said.
Some fire personnel remained at he scene until about 4 p.m. helping the county investigative team.
There is no word yet on the origin of the fire.
