MASSENA -- State Police say they charged Sierra D. Ackerman, 21, of Massena for failing to pay for the fuel.
Early today, police reached photos of Ackerman seeking help from the public.
She was charged with petit larceny and further ticketed for aggravated unlicensed operation third-degree.
Police said a gray vehicle left the gas pumps without paying for $20 in gas.
The female driver of the vehicle allegedly entered the store after the female passenger pumped gas into the vehicle. However, the driver never paid for the fuel, troopers said.
Ackerman was released with tickets returnable to the Town of Stockholm Court.
