Three members of the St. Lawrence University women's crew team, Maggie Fellows '13, Alissa McCaffrey '13 and Lauren Reed '11, have been named 2011 National Scholar-Athlete recipients from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).
To earn National All-Academic honor from the CRCA, student-athletes must compete in an NCAA or IRA eligible boat for a minimum of 75% of the spring season while meeting a minimum grade point average requirement of 3.5 or higher. First-year students are not eligible for the award.
Reed, a psychology major at St. Lawrence, earned CRCA National All-Academic honors for the third consecutive year. Meanwhile, both Fellows and McCaffrey earned the award in their first year of eligibility.
