CANTON – Grasse River Players will perform a musical for children during Canton Winterfest on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 18 & 19, at the Blackbox Theatre (Griffiths Art Center) on the St. Lawrence University campus.

Curtain times are 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and are available at The Pear Tree in Canton, or at the door.

Based on the Ukrainian folktale, The Mitten, Barbara Burdick, local music teacher, has penned a musical THE COZY MITTEN. It is about animals finding a unique spot to keep warm in winter.

Cast members are Parker Gallagher, Calvin Townsend, Elaine Kuracina, Julie Manders, Jim Fryer, Glenn Thomas, Rob Larrabee, Jan Blewett, Hailey Hodge, Lo Knowlden, Karen Wells, Connor Falen and Zoey Olesker-Norminton. Directors are Vania Falen and Carole Berard. Sound engineer is James W. Wildman.
