EDWARDS -- TAUNY will host a concert with North Country artists Dave Ruch, Don Woodcock, The Fraser Family and Friends, John Kirk, Trish Miller and Lee Knight Saturday, September 14 at 7 p.m. at the Edwards Opera House.
The concert is part of a project to raise awareness of the Marjorie Lansing Porter Collection housed at the SUNY Plattsburgh Feinberg Library's special collections.
The concert will feature musicians from different corners of the region.
John Kirk & Trish Miller will bring with them a variety of stringed instruments, some ballad singing, and maybe some footwork.
The 17-piece Fraser Family and Friends and fiddler Don Woodcock will also perform.
Lee Knight has performed throughout the U.S. and internationally. As a traditional banjo and mouth bow player, he has collaborated with Chinese flute player Wu Man, performing with the Wu Man trio in Carnegie Hall.
Ruch will sing songs from the collection.
Tickets will be $10 at the door or from The TAUNY Center 53 Main St. Canton, The Brewer Bookstore in Canton, Northern Music in Potsdam, The Oswegatchie Coffee Company in Gouverneur, and Wood Family Grocery in Edwards.
