I am proud to offer my personal and enthusiastic support for Dr. Adam Jarrett for County Legislator.

I have had the privilege of working with Adam in two important capacities. From 2005 to 2010, we served together on the Executive Leadership Team at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, where Adam was Chief Medical Officer. I also worked with him during my service as Mayor of the City of Ogdensburg on matters affecting the city and the broader community.

At Claxton-Hepburn, Adam held a position that required excellent medical judgment, strong leadership, and the ability to make difficult decisions affecting patients, employees, and the entire organization. Adam is an excellent physician who has always demonstrated genuine concern for the health and well-being of others. As Chief Medical Officer, he earned the respect of his colleagues through his integrity, professionalism, and calm, steady approach to leadership.

In my work with Adam as Mayor, I also saw his commitment to the City of Ogdensburg and its residents. He understood that healthcare, economic stability, employment, public services, and the overall strength of the community are closely connected. Adam approached community issues thoughtfully, listened carefully to different viewpoints, and worked cooperatively toward practical solutions.

Adam also possesses a strong understanding of finance and budgeting. He recognizes the importance of managing limited resources responsibly, establishing sound priorities, and balancing immediate needs with long-term financial stability. His combination of medical expertise, executive leadership, fiscal knowledge, and experience addressing community concerns gives him an especially valuable perspective on the issues facing our county.

On a personal level, I know Adam to be hardworking, dependable, thoughtful, and deeply committed to the people and communities he serves. I am confident that he will approach public service with the same dedication, sound judgment, compassion, and sense of responsibility that he has demonstrated throughout his medical and leadership career.

 As a former Mayor and Town Supervisor, I know firsthand that local politics should be about getting things done, not partisanship. I am a lifelong Republican and have always believed that candidates for local office should be considered on their qualifications, experience, judgment, and commitment to the community—not solely on party affiliation. For these reasons, I strongly support Dr. Adam Jarrett for County Legislator. I believe he will serve the residents of our county with integrity, fiscal responsibility, and steady, effective leadership.
