POTSDAM -- Potsdam United Methodist Church, 26 Main St., will be the starting point and finish line for Raquette Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Potsdam walk-a-thon on Sunday, Oct. 4, assisted by the women of Zeta Gamma Sigma.

Pledge forms are available at the church and other locations around Potsdam. Participants of all ages are welcome.

Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. on the 4th; the walk begins at 2. Refreshments will be served and T-shirts will be awarded to the top 10 fund-raisers.

With local support, Raquette Valley Habitat has built 15 homes in St. Lawrence County since 1989.

Habitat International is honoring President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn Carter in 2015 for their many years of dedicated service and support.

For more information and pledge forms, call the church office, 265-7474, or Betsy Baker, 261-4001.
