Although the fall season is officially upon us, Mother Nature may throw St. Lawrence County one last spat of summer weather, if National Weather Service predictions hold true.
They are calling for clear skies and temperatures getting into the 80s for the next week.
Forecasters say on Friday, temperatures will hit a high of 78 in Massena and Ogdensburg with sunny skies. Ogdensburg and Gouvernneur will get down to 52 degrees at night, meteorologists say, with skies staying clear.
On Saturday, temperatures are expected to top out at 81 degrees with sunny skies in Ogdensburg, Potsdam, Massena and Canton.
Although a few clouds may roll in on Saturday night, St. Lawrence County should stay precipitation-free with temperatures around 55.
Sunday should see a return to summer temperatures and sunny skies, the NWS says.
All predicted temperatures are forecast to be a few degrees cooler in Star Lake and the Adirondack region.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the afternoon.
Saturday night - Mostly clear, with a low around 55. Light southwest wind.
Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 81. Southwest wind around 6 mph.
Sunday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Monday - Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
