State police are asking St. Lawrence County businesses receiving $2 bills to contact troopers in Malone as part of an investigation into a recent robbery.
Troopers are investigating May 5 robbery on county Route 16, (Bacon Road) in the town of Bangor.
Troopers say two male suspects forced their way into a residence and demanded money from the elderly victim. The first suspect is described as having a dark complexion and dark hair, approximately 5’ 4 – 5’6”, 130 pounds, wearing a red sweatshirt.
The second suspect is described as taller than the first suspect, and wore a light colored shirt, possibly tan or gray, no further description.
The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. They fled the scene in a vehicle, unknown direction of travel. No weapons were displayed during the course of the robbery.
Any businesses that have received $2 bills are asked to contact state police at 518-483-5000.
