State police handle numerous traffic accidents throughout county

State police reported that they responded to numerous traffic accidents at several locations in St. Lawrence County on Thursday, Jan. 18 until early Friday morning Jan. 19.

One of the accidents resulted in charges, while the others were closed by investigation with no injuries reported.

Charged with DWI

A Potsdam woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after a property damage accident in Stockholm on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 9:33 p.m.

Brandi L. Paige, 42, was charged with driving while intoxicated: first offense and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 of 1 percent: first offense.

She was ticketed and released.

One-car crashes

Troopers responded to another accident in Parishville on State Route 72 on Jan. 18 at 11:22 a.m.

State police said a vehicle driven by Taylor Page Harper, 44, of Potsdam was involved. Troopers closed the road until Harper's vehicle was cleared.

No injuries were reported.

A Hermon woman was involved in a one-car accident later on Jan. 18 at 5:58 p.m. on State Route 68 in Pierrepont.

Alexys Nicole Newborn, 29, was driving the vehicle, state police report. Troopers closed the road until the vehicle was cleared.

No injuries were reported.

Other fender benders

State police investigated numerous other traffic accidents on Thursday, Jan. 18 until early Friday morning Jan. 19.

Numerous other accidents were investigated on Thursday, Jan. 18 in Lisbon at 8:45 a.m., Oswegatchie at 3:37 p.m., Massena at 4:26 p.m., Massena at 5:33 p.m., Hammond at 5:50 p.m., Clifton at 8:40 p.m., Oswegatchie at 9:09 p.m., Oswegatchie at 10:29 p.m.; and Hermon at 6:02 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 19.

Troopers released no further details on these incidents, which were closed by investigation.
