CANTON — The St. Lawrence Youth Bureau is selling items featuring the top three winning designs from September’s Design-A-Mask contest.

Potsdam’s University Tees will offer t-shirts, sweatshirts, face masks, and totes which feature the designs in an online store available starting Nov. 30.

“We received a lot of feedback from the community expressing interest in purchasing face masks featuring Logan LaShomb’s winning design as well as being able to purchase products with other designs. As a result, we decided to offer an online store and have 100% of the proceeds benefit NCATA-North Country Art Teachers Association,” said Alexa Backus, Youth Bureau Director.

"Our local communities have been so excited to be able to help support our young artists and it's no surprise that they wanted their own masks too! We, at NCATA, are thrilled to collaborate with the Youth Bureau in this contest. This will help art teachers foster more creative opportunities for our students across the region,” said Krystal Hewer, an Art teacher at Colton-Pierrepont.

The online store will open for purchases on Monday, Nov. 30. It will feature three designs. Logan LaShomb’s winning scenic design, 2nd runner up, Jennah Strawser’s Small Town Big Hearts design, and 3rd runner up, Tim Frick’s Cover Your Beak design.

The store can be found on the Youth Bureau’s Facebook page or email ABackus@stlawco.org for the link.
