The 11th annual St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament will continue through Saturday Aug. 17.
The tournament kicks off today, with 122 junior anglers from several states and Canada scheduled to compete, and attend the Mort Backus Carp School.
Slic Networks Solution will host a leaderboard at tournament.northcountryguide.com.
Boys and girls ages 11 to 18 will fish along a 30-mile stretch of the St. Lawrence River from Ogdensburg to Massena, and competing for more than $7,000 in cash prizes and trophies.
Friday fishing will run from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., followed by Saturday’s 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. wrap up.
A pizza party will be held at 6 p.m., followed by the award ceremony at 7 p.m. at Madrid-Waddington Central School.
