CANTON – The St. Lawrence Department of Music will host a Nepal Benefit concert to help fund relief and rebuilding efforts from April’s earthquake from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, in Noble Center’s Launders Underground.
The concert is free and open to the public, however monetary donations are encouraged. Proceeds will benefit three separate schools in the Kathmandu-area, including Kathmandu
University’s music department. The event will feature short sets performed by St. Lawrence faculty, staff and community members.
Then at 9 p.m., headlining act The DuPont Brothers will take the stage with the fresh indie-folk duo of Zack DuPont and his brother, Sam. Just days before their departure on a national tour, the guitarists will return to St. Lawrence, where Zack performed many times as a student.
