St. Lawrence County gained no non-farm jobs in December, which is behind the 1.1 percent gain statewide.
The Department of Labor says there were 42,600 non-farm jobs in the county in December 2015 and 2016.
Statewide, that total went up by 102,700, a 1.1 percent gain.
To our east in Franklin County, the number went up .5 percent from 19,200 in December 2015 to 19,300 last month.
To our west in Jefferson County, the number went up .5 percent from 42,500 in December 2015 to 42,700 last month, DOL said.
