CANTON — St. Lawrence County will host a countywide Trunk or Treat on Friday, Oct. 30, giving families an opportunity to enjoy Halloween activities and meet local departments and organizations.
The event, organized by St. Lawrence County government and the Youth Bureau, will run from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Human Services Building, 80 State Highway 310.
Families and children are invited to wear costumes and enjoy decorated vehicles, treats and community activities. The county Highway Department plans to bring a large snowplow for children to see up close. The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and K-9 Knowlton may also make a surprise appearance.
Activities will take place primarily outdoors in the building’s parking lot, weather permitting. Indoor space will be available in case of rain or snow.
Community organizations, businesses, school groups, programs and individuals interested in hosting a decorated trunk or table, creating decorations or volunteering can contact Alexa Backus Chase at AChase@stlawco.gov or the St. Lawrence County Youth Bureau at 315-379-9464.
