BRASHER FALLS – Zombies will haunt the stage at St. Lawrence Central High School March 11 and 12 as the school presents “Zombie Prom,” a musical comedy about love and life starting at 7:30 p.m. each night.

“Zombie Prom” is a musical comedy set in the 1950s, the story of a teenage boy that is brought back to life by the love of his high-school sweetheart.

At Enrico Fermi High, the law is laid down by a zany, tyrannical principal. Pretty senior Toffee has fallen for the class bad boy.

Family pressure forces her to end the romance, and he charges off on his motorcycle to the nuclear waste dump. He returns glowing and determined to reclaim Toffee's heart. He still wants to graduate, but most of all he wants to take Toffee to the prom. The principal orders him to drop dead while a scandal reporter seizes on him as the freak du jour. History comes to his rescue while a tuneful selection of original songs in the style of ’50s hits keeps the action rocking across the stage.

The New York Daily News praised the original New York production as "A blast.... Slick fun for the whole nuclear family" and said "If you like Grease ... you [will] like Zombie Prom."

Tickets are $10, $8 for students and senior citizens, and there is a $1 discount if you buy tickets early. Box office hours are 7:30 to 8 a.m. in the high school lobby, and 2:30 to 3:30 in Room 144.
