POTSDAM -- The Special Arts program at St. Lawrence Council of Arts is designed to meet the needs of people with developmental disabilities.
Board-certified music therapist, Tracy Wanamaker, leads two different series of classes as part of this program: Northern Notes Chorus and Special Arts for Special Needs. The chorus is comprised of teenagers and adults with special needs who enjoy making music and performing for others.
Students do not have to read music to participate. The cost is $55 for the seven class series that begins Oct. 21 from 5 to 6 p.m. and runs through Dec. 9.
All classes meet at SLC Arts, room 229, 41 Elm St. Pre-registration is required.
Contact SLC Arts to register for these classes or to contribute to the program at 265-6860 or arts@slcartscouncil.org
